How a boss shud act?
Sometimes back I have posted abt my NEW boss. Within 2mths + I know I can't really get along with him.
Why? erm...Y not you be in my position for a while and think how u react.
* He is kinda listen to someone and judge who u r without seeing it by himself.
Personally I dun like this kind of ppl. I believe he have been listening to a lot of gossip about how bad am I from my enemies of cos. I don't care how he think about me, I know myself and I know i did nothing wrong.
* He drew a diagram to illustrate about the purchasing process and have a meeting with all the admin staff but I am not inform about this. My colleague (frm subsi) been telling me about this process and I have to take care of it..but I told her I know nothing abt this.
To me our corp office have practice that for long and juz that the subsi does not follow inline with us. Out of sudden my new boss came over to tell me about the diagram. The process is 'whoever' need a quotation email to IT. IT will source out the quotation. During the process of deciding which vendor, preparing po, faxing it over my boss said it has nothing to do with IT. But when the product come, we IT have to receive the goods. Then we set up the pc/nb and pass to the user.
I have highlighted something to him,
1st-Not whoever can come and ask us for quotation. Only those identified Admin ppls can do so (to have a better control)
2nd-This really does not make sense, how can IT not involve in between. In order to receive the goods we have to know which vendor they order the product, what being purchase, when they fax and by when we shud expect the things to reach us. Who shd follow up the order????
Recent replied from my new boss, stating that they are finalising the process but before that he will let me go thru to see anymore things need to change. (Wondering who is the boss)
* A colleague of mine need a notebook, she ask the admin staff to get quotation. The admin staff email me and saying that she need a notebook quotation. And she mentioned that the pc using by this existing staff will pass to a new staff and the old staff get a new notebook.
1st-I ask her, who is the existing staff that need the notebook. I told her in order for me to get a notebook I need to know who will be using and wat is the job scope like. By knowing her nature of job I can get a clearer picture of wat to get for her. The admin staff is like so worry to let me know who is the existing staff. Nvm I call the senior admin and tell her that if they so reluctant to let me know who, den I can't really help. Thereafter, the junior one call and tell me who is the one.
2nd-I got the quote and send it to her. She say is urgent, so I ask her when want to proceed. She tell me she have to discuss with her boss.The next day, she told me that she let my new boss to review and my new boss say he can get a better price. I am thinking if u dun trust me y shud u ask me to do. Anyway, guess wat happen??? My new boss come over and tell me he is ok with that and go ahead. I m thinking I tot he wil do it (getting better price) den y now throw back to me. Anyway, I get the admin to process the order and we get the product.
OK here another story related to this order.
Let's call the existing staff (A) who got the new notebook.
*Out of sudden (A) asked me, how come my boss LCD monitor not arrive yet, we order the same time as my notebook and from the same vendor.
I look at her in a blur face and asked her, since when u order that? I have no idea about that. The beautiful part is they have given the chq to the vendor (without knowing the previous time they come is juz to collect the notebook chq) and she say is my new boss who help them. I get them fotostated the document for me and I asked the admin what has happen. She say oh I got your new boss to check but he din reply me yet.
With my character I can't stand how they work I called the vendor. Looking for the particular sales person but she is not available. I check with another one and they told me the order status is "UNCONFIRM ORDER". I told her how come since they have already collected our chq. She then able to get that particular sales person (C). She told me that she got the PO from us but she is waiting for our call to tell her when the chq is ready. I told (C) they have actually collected the chq. She sound speechless but I told her, y not u go n check and get back to me.
I told my boss what has happen to this and he can even say they collect the chq n never send the product feel like slapping them. (I am thinking first of all you never ask how shud u deal the whole order process). I told him if next time whatever confirm order pls let me know so that I don't get so blur.
Not hearing from her the next day, I called her again. So hard to reach her but I able to at last and she told me, oh we will send the product to u by next Tue/Wed but when I ask her you got my chq she din answer me. I patiently waited till Wed but c no green light on this case. I called n called but cud not get her. I spoke to another gal and tell her all abt this. She say will get back to me.
About 4+ the salesperson (N) that I always deal with from this company called me saying that that (C) threw him this case and ask him to settle it. I quite frust with (C) but (N) told me nvm I will do this order for you.

*One day out of sudden I got a mail from him saying (this shud never happen and you have to ensure all computers are installed with licensed software which does not expire and ask m to pass the cd to him and he will go personally to install it) juz becos one of the colleague saying that his notebook antivirus is expire.
I wrote him a reply email :-
1st-I told him "You having my CD which have not return to me yet. (So damn forgetful how to work).
2nd-He blame me without knowing the whole picture. I told him "I am not the one ordering s/w for that staff. My job is juz to help them installed what they have ordered and configure the network for him. I told him dun blame me on anything since the purchasing is not done by me and they dun copy me on that."
3rd-I told him the purchasing he help on the case above is a big mistake
4th-I told him if he need me to handle purchasing and ensure everyone using a non expire software I need coordination from the staff (subsi) to pass me all the software they have and I will do it from scratch. Besides before the we get the process right we shud not point finger to anyone and arguing who is right or wrong, in fact we shud start fresh and help the subsi.
Frankly speaking I don't like ppl blame me for nothing and I know none of u like...Anyway, I dun have hope on this boss....hopeless haha :P
Good News or Bad News??
Good news or bad news ... it depends on how u look at things sometimes.
Congrats TNS, who got married and all the best ya....when little TNS coming??? dun make me wait that long ya hehe.....
One of my colleague told me she broke of with her bf. At first I feel sorry for her but in the other hand I feel happy for her, cos she realise that she might not have future with the man who dunno wat exactly he wan and she give up even she luv him so much. In fact now I feel she more happy cos she dun need to worry about wat is gonna to happen whether is he the one...and so forth...so even tis is bad news...but at the end we found is GOOD too..haha...Bravo N....
My collegemate call out of sudden and I guess is time for her to get marry..haha..Bravo devil..yes u got it right. She in fact give us a shocked..cos never really heard she got a bf but out of sudden she is getting marry..Congrats V...even u think twice..but I wish u all the best here and have a bright future with ur hubby!!...
So long never hear from this Buddy and he buzzed me out of sudden..I asked him is he attached now..and he say..yes...Congrats W. Even u said that u all always argue but if both of u luv each other I believe u can work that out..is time for a major change for both of u...to open the door for ur future...All the best..ya
Some may see being single is bad and vice versa.
I personally c single is PERFECT...having enuf Up n Down from relationship. I still think that single suit me, no matter you are single or attached or marry...as long as u r happy on wat u r now...go ahead....n make it more interesting.
Mum n sis is kinda worry abt me being single but I told them wat i m looking for...they even tell me that my old buddy (to them he is single) is still single waiting for me, and he is not bad, good man having car, hse...n treat his mother good..but I told them yes he is good but even he is damn perfect it has nothing to do with me we r good frend no doubt..but will never be my man..!! Dun worry abt me ..I m glad I am me.. :P
